GRAND MARAIS CURLING CENTRE

The Grand Marais Curling Centre is a 3 sheet facility and a member of the Manitoba Curling Association.

Located within the Recreation Centre on Matilda Avenue in Grand Marais.   We are approximately 1 hour north of Winnipeg's, north Perimeter highway, down Highway 59, on the beautiful eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, right next door to Grand Beach Provincial Park.   By taking the Grand Beach turn off on Highway 59, onto Highway 12, and taking the first right hand turn, (Donald St.) just past the Village Store, once in Grand Marais, you'll see the Recreation Centre at the end of the road on Matilda Avenue.

For the upcoming 2011-12 season we'll be celebrating our 54th anniversary, with many special events planned.    This will go along with our 3 leagues we currently have in operation, an Open Mixed League on Monday evening  and the Men's League, Wednesday and Thursday nights.

During the year we operate a number of bonspiels for all to enjoy. The first big event this season will be our annual O'Grqay Challege Trophy event which will take place the week of November 20th, 2011.  Then to start off the new year we'll kick it off with the Sand Bar "Freeze-Out" Modified Mixed Bonspiel (3+1) (January 6-8), The Molson / Harvey Lacroix Men's Cashspiel (January 13-15), GM/VB Ladies District Cashspiel (February 3-4), Grand Marais Family Festival Funspiel (February 11) and finally, the GM Icebreaker Mixed Cashspiel (February 24-26).  To enter any of the above events, please contact Chris at 204-754-3058.
